Privacy Policy
A clear record of the information PropertyBaazi handles, why it is needed, who may receive it and the controls available to you.

Scope and responsibility
This policy applies to the PropertyBaazi website, mobile application, accounts, listings, enquiries, customer support, research tools and related communications. It explains what information we handle, why we handle it, when it is shared and the choices available to you. A third-party website or professional that receives information has its own responsibilities and privacy practices.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use PropertyBaazi, we collect:
- Account and contact data: name, mobile number, email, account role, verification status and communication preferences;
- Property and professional data: listing details, location, price, photos, documents, ownership or authorisation information, RERA and business details;
- Activity and requests: searches, saved records, enquiries, visit requests, consent choices, reviews, research-tool prompts and support or grievance messages;
- Technical and security data: device and browser information, IP address, timestamps, approximate location derived from network or your selection, session and fraud signals, and application logs; and
- Transaction data: service purchased, amount, tax and payment status or reference. The payment processor handles full card, bank-account and UPI credentials.
Please do not send passwords, OTPs, full payment credentials or unnecessary government identity information through listings, reviews, enquiries or research tools.
Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, from your use of the service, from owners, agents, developers and other users, from payment and communication providers, and from public sources such as state RERA portals and company or property records. We may combine these sources to maintain a record, prevent duplication and show source context.
Why we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- create, verify and secure accounts and prevent misuse;
- publish and manage listings, project records, searches, saved items and alerts;
- process enquiries and visits after the contact-sharing choice you make;
- provide research tools, respond to support requests and manage complaints;
- process payments, issue transaction records and prevent payment fraud;
- moderate content, investigate abuse, measure reliability and improve the service;
- send service notices and optional communications in line with your preferences; and
- comply with law, enforce agreements and establish or defend legal claims.
Contact sharing and consent
Login or WhatsApp authentication does not by itself permit marketing or disclosure of your number to a property professional. Before an enquiry is shared, the interface identifies the relevant recipient or recipient category and asks for an affirmative choice.
You can withdraw an optional permission or change available communication preferences from your account. Withdrawal applies to future processing based on that permission; it does not undo a lawful disclosure already completed or processing needed for an open transaction, safety issue, dispute or legal duty.
Public listings and contributions
Information you choose to publish in a listing, professional profile or review may be visible to anyone and may appear in search results. We avoid displaying private contact details in public data exports. Removing public content may not immediately remove copies already indexed or lawfully retained by others.
Signed-in research tools
Signed-in research tools may send your prompt, relevant conversation history and property-page context to a contracted processing provider to produce a response. Prompts and associated usage records may be retained for account continuity, security, quality review and legal compliance. Do not enter confidential transaction documents or sensitive credentials. Research responses may be incomplete and should be independently checked.
How long we retain information
We keep personal information only for the period reasonably required for the stated purpose, an active account or service, security and fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting and tax records, content-preservation duties, or another legal obligation.
Authentication codes are short-lived. Product analytics are generally retained for up to 180 days, while selected authentication and security events may be retained for up to 400 days. Billing, complaint and legally preserved records may remain longer where required. When a record is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it or restrict it in backups until normal deletion cycles complete.
Security and incident handling
We use measures appropriate to the nature of the information, including access controls, transport encryption, secrets management, logging, rate limits and data minimisation. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If an incident creates a legal notification duty, we will notify the relevant authority and affected people in the manner and time required by law.
Your choices and requests
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to review or correct your personal information, request erasure, withdraw optional consent, change communication preferences, obtain information about processing or raise a grievance. Some requests require account verification, and an exception may apply for legal records, fraud prevention, safety, billing or disputes.
Use the Consent center for available account controls. For an access, correction or deletion request, email [email protected] from your registered contact details. If the response does not resolve the issue, use the grievance portal or email [email protected].
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside India. Where this occurs, we use providers and contractual or organisational safeguards appropriate to the service and comply with applicable transfer restrictions. Public listing information may be viewed globally.
Children
PropertyBaazi accounts and transaction tools are intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support so we can review and take appropriate action.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the service, providers or law changes. We will update the effective date and give additional notice of a material change where required. Earlier versions may be retained for audit and dispute purposes.
