Stamp duty & registration charges by state

The charge schedules below are the ones most commonly published on projects in our catalog for each state (26 states covered). Several states discount stamp duty for female or joint ownership — worth checking before you register.

Informational only

Stamp duty is set by state governments and changes with budgets, circle-rate revisions and time-bound rebates. This table reflects what builders publish on their project pages — it is not legal or tax advice, and we may lag a recent notification. Always confirm the current rate with the state registrar / sub-registrar office (IGR website) before executing a sale deed.

How to read this table

Stamp duty is charged on the higher of the agreement value and the government circle/ready reckoner rate. Registration charges are separate and usually capped. Where a state shows different rates for male, female and joint ownership, the discount applies to the ownership named on the sale deed. The last column shows how many catalog projects publish this exact schedule — our transparency about sample size, not an official endorsement.
